Tonight the mood struck me to upload some images that I never put in the Gallery because of my obsession with showing you only my absloute best; or what I deem will have relevance as far as evolution and technique within my style goes. But, I see how that could be detrimental to your own opinion or what you might deem important. Thus, instead of keeping things to myself, I'll pour them here and give you the freedom of choice you deserve. I'll try and be less picky, and that will hopefully keep the flow of my Gallery much more dynamic.
This is the last upload of the night. Quite an old image this one too. This was a commission for a very trusty client, who has a lot of artwork form em under his belt and keeps coming back for more. This is Chapter Master Gyrfalcon of the White Consuls. I'm not terribly knowledgeable on the fluff of his Chapter, but the client had a story of his own to atach to this felow, so I had some liberty towork as I wanted. What I love about this illustration is that it shows a Space Marine for what it is exactly: a huge, bulky, powerful and mighty knight of a relentless Imperium, looking forward to what battle lies ahead. We usually get so caught up in trying to make something differe an original within the universe of Warhammer 40,000, that we forget what it was that we really loved when we first plunged ito the Dark Millenium. This is a homage to that essence.
Love Your work, his pose and colours. Btw. White Consuls had two chapter masters - Cymar Xydias & Titus Valens and for a first time i hear about chapter master Gyrfalcon. source - [link]
Looking at this figure, at his regal, sideways posture, I got an idea, that it would be fantastic if would draw a Marneus Calgar in similar pose. There's a potential for pure awesomness, in such a picture. The fact that i am a Ultramarines player, that would love to see some more smurf's drawings from You, is in no way connected to this comment
Man, I wish my second bests looked even half as good as yours do! Love your 40k stuff, I think you capture the feel of the 40k universe perfectly, especially your spacemarines. Hope to see more from you.
