DIVINITY - Ramble On by Aerion-the-Faithful DIVINITY - Ramble On by Aerion-the-Faithful
Happy Friday, fellow deviants!

I hope your week went well. Mine was nightmarishly busy as usual, but very productive, which bodes well for the Gallery here and all who care to take a look.

Point in case, here's the closing splash page of the second Chapter of Divinity, one of the webcomics I'm currently illustrating.

To say that this setting is one of my favourites would be an understatement; I love the 1920s! They absolutely amaze me as a period and I'd long awaited to tackle a story in those times. Kevin Rojas Veliz not only gave me that opportunity, but he also wrote a set of characters that are fantastic to draw and scenes right out of a movie. The challenges are many: I have to do heavy reasearch for each establishing shot, clothing, vehicles and so forth. But the reward far exceeeds the investment. It's pages such as these, with two of our protagonists riding a classic Henderson, clothed in those times' clothes and riding off to a new adventure that make me a very happy artist. Where are they headed? You'll have to come by the website after our mandatory break and check it out! Here's a link: www.divinity-comic.com

I hope you enjoy this one and have a great weekend!

Nic.-

A really cool aesthetic going on here. Love the monochrome and sense of motion, but also a sense of frozen time. Cool.

Really good job on the colours - this piece looks like b&w and sepia photo shots of the same scene were transcending and blending with each other. I appreciate your effort in researching - as well as your will to bother yourself with it instead of making things up. Little link to aid you in further searching: www.shorpy.com/ - lots of reference material as well as inspiration for someone of your penchant for the pre WW2 esthetics. Been a fan of your art for a few yars as of now, really satisfying to follow your development as an artist. Best wishes!
