For the Emperor by Aerion-the-Faithful For the Emperor by Aerion-the-Faithful
Hello again my patient (and sadly neglected!) watchers and watcherettes...

It's been too long since my last deviation and I hope you can bear with my not being able to upload here more often. It is hard for me to find time to make something for myself these days and I usually spend my free time enjoying my newly married life (which is very similar, if not identical to my prior life :P).

However, in-between projects, commissions and everything else, i did manage to squeeze a couple of images for my own enjoyment and I hope yours too.

Following my trend of exploration in B&W, I've finally succumbed to the desire to depict some Dark Millenium imagery in this format. And what better way to start than with a Sister of Battle? I hope these don't come too often, or else I won't be able to collect as many images as I'd want, should I make an artbook of my B&Ws. But I do expect you'll find this medium fitting of the dark, gothic future of the 41st Millenium.
I notice a quite striking evolution in my style and if you compare this illustration to my old ones involving Sisters, you'll be amazed at how much more detailed and anatomically correct this one is.

I hope you enjoy it and stay tuned for my Journal. I'll be selling some artwork and you might take advantage of the ridiculous prices!

Let me know what you think as usual and see you soon!

Nic.-

the grotesque little cherub is a cool touch, like your take on it. as always the armour turned cool and the B/W worked nicely with the theme material ^^

Well I'm digging your new aproach to the sister armour a lot. It used to confine to the curvature of the body a little to well. Here I can see more bulk, and it looks like it can really deflect some shells. :) Very excellent subject matter to jump into for the 40k theme indeed. :salute:
