*WHEW*

These latest incarnations of The Emperor's Primarchs from the Warhammer 40,000 mythos are really taking me longer than usual to colour and finish; but I think that's a statement to how good I think they are and how much of my skills I'm pouring into them.
This time, it's the Dark Angels Chapter's Primarch, the loyal and honourable Lion El'Jonson turn to get the spotlight and it is this image that marks my true reinvention of these characters. I'd already illustrated this knight before and whilst I think that image has its strong points on its own, it's very outdated now in my eyes, and I think this version shows my evolution as an artist quite plainly. Amazing.
You managed to capture the spirit of the Lion and breathe new life this concept while staying true to the canon.

Lion El Jonson- my favorite primarch! This is an amazing piece of work, I love the armour, the background, hell all about it! But I wonder why his hair is brown....

Love it, he is one of my favorite primarchs, and im glad to see that you know the lore and gave him the heresy period dark paint scheme. a nice tip of the hat to lore fans. also the whites in this picture are a great contrast to the dark obsedian black that makes up his armor. great job!

Hace algun tiempo que sigo tus ilustraciones (en B&C.com) y no tengo mas q respeto hacia tu enorme talento. Esta en especial me encanta como has hecho su armadura negra pero sin perden detalles en un negro "total".

Muchísimas gracias por el voto de confianza y el elogio, mi amigo. Me alegra que te gusten mis interpretaciones del universo de warhammer 40,000, ya que mi estilo dista bastante del 'oficial', jeje...
Y concuerdo en que en esta imagen logré un buen balance en la armadura negra; todo un avance desde la última imagen que habia realizado, en la que los negros plenos 'mataban' (por asi decirlo) a la profundidad y el volumen de la misma.
