"(...)and in his agony, the Dark Lord, Skeletor the Great, screamed. And his scream chilled the blood of a thousand living creatures that fell into oblivion that very instant. For his transformation wasn't complete and there was no more blood in the cup that he had taken from the rotten corpse of The Sorceress of Grayskull: The Wanderer, the accursed lost hero of the Empire, had spilt it into the burning sand of Eternia trying to stop the macabre ritual.
Thus, the Dark Lord's days were spent in pain and suffering, the open wounds of his newly regained flesh torturing his wretched existence.
Each sting from his pale skin was a new nightmare, each blinding contortion of his deformed countenance's muscles a sentence of death to another region of Eternia.
In his despair, Skeletor the Carrion Lord could only hoarsely call out the name of his greatest foe: 'He-Man!'
And the Dark Kingdom, in twilight, shuddered."

Happy Monday, fellow watchers and watcherettes! Last week wasn't very productive as far as updates go, but I can assure I didn't have a moment's rest when I wasn't around the Internet. Work has (luckily!) swamped my existence and therefore my lack of submissions.
I did take 90 minutes off this weekend, though, to work this small piece of my He-Man: Twilight saga, depicting my reimagining of Skeletor. I hadn't visited this redesigns in quite a while and I still get Notes asking me to develop it further so, while this isn't a brand new character, it is a very interesting exploration of my previous Dark Lord illustration.
I'm particularly happy with the way the muscles and tongue connect with the classic skull figure of Skeletor as well as the textures I achieved on the surrounding frame of the figure. It looks like old parchment, which adds to the atmosphere I want to create for this alternate He-Man.
I sincerely hope you enjoy it and I'll try and upload some more images this week, if time allows it!
PS.. Who do you think I should redesign next?
