Lectio Divinitatus Chant XIII, 'The Testimony of the Witness' Ah, it's been a long time it seems, since I first depicted The Emperor from the Dark Millenium of Warhammer 40,000 at the bidding of a client. And certainly I've grown more confident in my skills and technique since then... so much so that I dared revisit this most daunting character for another MiniMasterpiece. In truth, this is a bit bigger than a regular MiniMasterpiece (8.5"x3.9"), but for good reason: I'm letting go of this original in exchange for a subscription to dA. All the details can be found here: [link] As for the artwork itself, well, I have to say I'm REALLY proud of it. I notice a lot of improvement over my first rendition of The Emperor, and I've even gone as far as including his fiery blade (something many fans asked to see!). There are personal touches I enjoy, such as the fact that I never seem to do The Emperor below his waist and I always crop him a lot. I think this serves two purposes: one, it makes him look even bigger than he is, almost not being able to be contained within a frame and two, it lets people fill in the gaps with their own imaginings of such a great character. I hope you ejoy him and much as I did whilst painting Him and that someone out there takes a chance on the trade! Praise The God-Emperor! 'til soon! Nic.- PS.. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
