"She is the Empress of the Moon. The supreme ruler of all the creatures inside of the colossal Tower she inhabits. Alone for a period of time that she can't even recall, her duty is to mantain the monolith alive by channeling the light of the Moon through her dance. This ritual, performed every night for countless years, energizes the technologies that keep her subjects alive and turns her into a being of such importance that no one dares love her or even come close to her... all except one.
He is the Imperial Guardian; a monk from the sacred Order of the Steel, entrusted with the protection of Her Majesty of the Night, a task he performs with the greatest of honours. Unfortunately, he has gone beyond duty in his heart, and has longed for the tender caress of the Empress many nights in silence while he watches her dance under the pale light of her Mother.
One of those moments is here depicted: soon, the light that shines from her body will be so bright that he will have to turn his eyes away, if he wants to save himself from blindness. Although blind he already is, because his eyes can no longer see anything but her..."

really like your style, it'll be cool to see graphic novel pages in it. I like the guy's face, cause it's different ya know. cool characters and story too
:iconaerion-the-faithful:
Thank you, inneryoung! The Guardian's face is indeed different from the usual 'hero' of the tales we see everyday. I hope the novel has that effect too... that it can be able to be different and yet interesting.

When is different ever not interesting? So this graphic novel of yours is getting published? that's really cool. Yeah, I try to make my characters with distinct features too, instead of typical generic drawn features, so I appreciate it in others work as well :)

Awesome job as always Aerion!

I feel tour drawings reached a new level of evolution with this one.

besides al lot of people thinks, the thick borders make the drawings very different, and help the different objects in different situations to coexist in the same page.
