This is something I rarely do, which I enjoyed more than I thought I would to be honest: a self portrait.
A few days back, I joined the ranks of the fabulous OUTLAND Collective community; a place with so many great artists, I still don't know how I got into it! The collective is, in ~JerMohler's (its founder) words, "a virtual gallery featuring the finest comic and fantasy art. All of its members are professionals currently working in the creative industry. Outland Collective provides a venue for creating and promoting excellent artwork."
For me, personally, it means I'll have to make time for doing something of my own, challenging my boundaries as an artist and hoping to grow and evolve avoiding my comfort zones. No small task, but one that I'm eager to start! This portrait is a fine example of something I'm doing I wouldn't usually do.
I've already posted a piece for the monthly sketch challenge, the theme being Flight:
This coming Friday the 4th, I'll be debuting my 'First Friday' piece, which will be a fully coloured exclusive illustration to show off what I can do and why I call myself a professional... I hope it does the trick!
Keep an eye out on the Collective and now you know how I look like
ha ha...get it? cause of the eyeballs.....erm...sorry
Sounds like a very interesting site.
