Pugni Imperiumby *Aerion-the-Faithful

Fan Art / Traditional Art / Drawings / Games

This is an illustration i did of one of the Emperor of mankind's Primarchs, from the universe of Warhammer 40,000. I worked mostly from the details of his description in the Rulebooks and codex i consulted, trying not to be tied to another artist's vision. In the end i was really happy with this piece, and it was a great success amongst the fans of the game.

Is it wrong to say that this guy, as badass as he is, looks a bit like an ass-whooping version Freddie Mercury? That'd make him even MORE of a great guy.

I love the style, the colours and the energy that I'm getting from it.

Wonderful. The yellow is very, very nice and crisp; and I love how it contrasts with the many smaller black details.

Detail is great. Design is great. Background is great.
If I were to 'complain' (and I'm really not) about anything, it would be that his face looks a wee bit more 'cartoony' than the overall pic. This however is probarbly just your own style, and this very minor matter of taste does nothing to mar my opinion of this excellent piece of art.

Sorry, I'll have to fave this now. Hope I can be forgiven.
