Well, having blatantly taken down the pirate babe illustration i had posted yesterday due to issues i had with it (and some changes i had to make for it), i'm making up for my indecision and lack of self-esteem by uploading this one, relating to the ever gothic and gloomy Warhammer 40,000 Universe. I actually thought twice about posting this illustration, that is the cover for an e-zine project around Do-It-Yourself Chapters of Space Marines, but on second thought (and after taking a long look at all the semi-naked ladies i'd been uploading lately here on DA), i felt that a bit of Sci-Fi and testosterone enhanced goodness wouldn't be at all bad, right? This Marine Standard Bearer belongs to the Chapter 'The Brazen Claws' which colours are red and blue. It was the first time i introduced two colours into one composition in one of my drawings and i must say i like how it turned out. I'm also fond of the overall tension and mood of the picture, as if the brother Marine was saying a last prayer before being launched onto yet another war torn battlefield.
This cover has the exact same colours the next piece of Blackbeard's Legacy will (hopefully) have, replacing the one i took down (sorry again!).
Grrr...that chapter killed my Tyranid Hive Fleet, damn them..
Awesome drawing I might add tho..*madly favs*

No problem, my Tyranids will get their revenge (and geneseed, yum) soon..

What style! I can't stress enough how I love this unique take on the Emperor's finest. Your clean lines and angled style would look right at home in animation, no doubt.
Plus the Brazen Claws are totally awesome, so how can this not be? I can't find anything to critique. Instant favourite.

Thank you very much, Troy! Youhave some excellent miniatures in your Gallery and such praise from a true Warhammer 40,000 fan is truly an honour!
I'll try and upload a bit more of the Dark Millenium soon...
