The Conclave - Wraithby *Aerion-the-Faithful

Happy Monday my dear watchers and watcherettes!

It's strange for me to be uploading an image so early in the week, but I hope it's welcome.

This is a LONG overdue (like, a year and a half!) commission for an obviously VERY patient client, depicting on out of five Commanders of his army. A very fun and challenging set of illustrations, since they're Chaos and I rarely get to draw that within my rendering of the Warhammer 40,000 mythos.

This is based off a miniature of the same character, which had some very cool green shades, representing its wraith aura. I tried to give it the same sense of nightmarish, ghoul-like atmosphere, while also incorporating all of the basic traits of a Space Marine; so, even though the greens and the skull-smoky background make the image quite ethereal, the corroded metal and chipped armour ground it in reality still.
