Description
It's been a long while since I posted anything from the Dark Millenium (well, I mean, besides my Primarchs) and I certainly have a LOT of work related to it. But it must be that, since I work so much with these characters, I tend to relax and put up more 'experimental' stuff here instead...
However, and knowing there are a lot of fans here of Warhammer 40,000, I bring you my latest work, which was commissioned by the most excellent painter (and Golden Demon winner) Dave Pauwels!
The brief was short and precise: A Dark Eldar Wych. So, with that in mind, I gave complete freedom to my hand and this scene came to life.
I added the Marine for action and the more I draw these Eldar, the more I like them; the whole flow of her hair, as well as her alien features and her stylised and slender shapes contrast very well with the bulky Marine.
The details I'm fond of are: the background, because I like the Moons and the warm tones, which compliment the cool tones of the figures very well; the Wych's absence of emotion as she kills the Marine; the spatter of blood; her black, cold eyes...
I could go on, but I hope you'll tell me more!
