I told you I was busy :D

These are two (VERY long overdue!) illustrations from a 6-piece set I did for the very talented Daniel Baldwin, creator and writer of The secret files of Lucky Ford, a very pulp tale following the exploits of Lucky, a 23 year-old American paratrooper from the Midwest in WW2. You can tell why I liked this assignment!

You can learn more about Lucky as well as seeing the rest of this set from me at the official website:

I'm posting here the busts I did for the protagonist and his main antagonist, the ruthless Isaak Gerhardt; according the the descriptions sent by Daniel, Lucky is "something of an everyman. He's not a born warrior, but he's a strong fighter when fighting for his friends or what he believes in." I certainly tried to get that accross, as well as the "piercing gray eyes and merciless stare" of Gerhardt. Overall, a very fun job to tackle and one I hope does justice to the characters.

Let me know what you think and check out the website; you won't be dissapointed!

Nic.-

Though Gerhardt is very clearly the villain, I find his face much more striking and charismatic than Lucky's.

Of course, come to think about it, that might have something to do with the fact that his face looks eerily like an older version of mine...

I'm gettin' major Alan Rickman vibes from Gerhardt. Given your description, that was either intentional or a happy accident. Nicely done.

I like the juxtapose between the two images, and also the cross they both wear adds a cool link.

I think the point of the crosses is that it's Lucky's silver cross, pressed on the undead Isaak's face, that caused that nasty scar of his.

Subtle and cool.

@:iconaerion-the-faithful: Did you notice I posted up two of your Skrapyard pics in my gallery?
