Finally it's here!
This is my first illustration of 2007 and i'm happy to say it's related to my graphic novel UTOPIA. Its Preview is already up for ordering at the WildeTimes site's Online Store, here: [link] All you will have to handle is the shipping (outside of the US that is). This particular image was made to use as a poster on several online communities where i'll advertise the novel, and i'm very happy with the outcome. I'll post the text appearing on the back cover of the novel so you can get an idea of what the story is about: "An assassin has breached the sacred Sanctum in the 113th level of the Tower, aiming for Her Majesty, the Empress of the Moon. Will the Imperial Guardians be able to defend her against this formidable adversary? UTOPIA takes place in an imaginary elseworld where the sun's rays are inimical to life and even the air is poisonous. In the middle of the vast desert wasteland stands a colossal Tower of one hundred thirteen levels. It is the last bastion of life amidst the desolation. Stories and legends abound of the mysterious Creator who built the tower and brought its inhabitants to life. Each level is a different world in itself; different rules, governors, and inhabitants. Countless creatures inhabit the Tower, all ruled by the Empress of the Moon. UTOPIA tells her story, and that of Sevenn, her Imperial Guardian, protector and lover. In this Preview of his upcoming graphic novel, author Nicolas R. Giacondino introduces us to his vibrant world and sets in motion a chain of events that will change the lives of the Tower's inhabitants forever..." Remember to leave your feedback and check out the other images i have in my Gallery realting to this world i've created. Until soon! To me, this picture sends off a feeling of imminent departure, as though the Empress and Sevenn are about to leave to go somewhere. To where, I have no idea, but it is somewhere. I think I get that impression from the garb the Empress is wearing. It seems like a royal traveling outfit to me.
After reading the blurb, I still hold that opinion, but it seems that they were about to be attacked as they were heading off somewhere.

And already we start the story off with those two butt-nekkid in bed, man Aerion, you really don't wait for romantic development, we're waaaaay past that XD
I'm just teasing, it is very intriguing, maybe squishing in one last Birthday present and purchasing that book may not be a bad idea
Is it just a one-shot or is it going to be in issues?

Seriously, though, there's a lot of that in the actual novel, but further down the pages. The Empress and The Guardian have had a bit of coming and going before ending upon silken sheets that's for sure...
The graphic novel is indeed a ONE-SHOT; hopefully, if it sells well, there will be sequels
Thanks again, milady and see you soon
