Aerion needs you...! (Updated!)

Journal Entry: Tue May 12, 2009, 7:33 PM
EDIT

Phew! I never knew so many would be willing to help me out with that lil' issue about my subscription, but I'm always deeply humbled to know there were! I will be replying to Notes personally, but I just wanted to let you all know that ~King-Robert-XII has taken the prize for his swift hand in clicking that "Buy a subscription" button. I actually took the time to revise all of the Notes, and his was the earliest, so I thank you ALL for your help and I will surely put more trades up once I have more time!

Welcome to another update, my brave readers...

This time around, I'll get something off my chest right away and then begin with the usual breakdown of news. As I mentioned in this Journal's title, my subscription to this fine site is about to expire. Well, within two months, actually, but I rather handle the matter sooner than later.
This subscription was a gft to me from my dear friend ~Mnesimache and I've got used to using it, but have no means of paying it through PayPal and I have no spare cash for these sort of things, thus, I decided to throw an idea around and see what you all made of it: I've prepared a special MiniMasperpiece, involving The Emperor of Mankind from Warhammer 40,000 and my intention is to trade it for a year's subscription to the first watcher that sends me a Note stating he'd like to have it.
All you'd have to do is arrange the funding of the dA subscription and then everything else (shipping costs included) would be on me and you'd have this beautiful work in your hands:

This will be a first come, first serve trade, so the first Note I receive will be the one to take the prize.

Thanks in advance!

Now, onto the rant...

WORK

I'm swamped, as usual, and finishing a lot of commissions, including MiniMasterpieces. I'm a bit behind on N0.1R, but I trust to get up to date on that this very week.
The Libris Primaris project is slowly moving ahead and next is Magnus the Red, so be on the lookout for that, fans of the Dark Millenium!
I've also some interviews to answer and other projects I can't yet reveal but the future seems busy for me, luckily!

PERSONAL

My personal life has been very hectic as well, what with Vanesa moving in to what will be 'our' home now. With her came our small poodle, Coconut and I guess you can say we're a happy family.
Our living together came quite naturally to us, and we're having a lot of fun, and not many bumps, so I trust everything will steadily look better and better for us three! Wish us luck!

LEISURE

I've been enjoying time with my girl, mostly, and watching films and overall relaxing when I get a chance. I keep roleplaying as usual, and our characters are in for a BIG fight against a God, so you go figure...
I'm also trying to so my best and keep up with the rythm of the Tolkien Society and their big event coming May 25th, but I'm sad to say I haven't been able to help as much as I could. I plan on giving an Illustration class, though and I've already contributed to the poster art and have been committed to reading a fragment each day of one of Tolkien's works during the fair.

Movies

I watched, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and I have to say I didn't enjoy it that much. I mean, all's well and the action's good, but the CGI felt a bit rushed in my opinion as well as the script. There were (as usual with the X-Men franchise) too many characters and no one stood out for me, which is a true shame. Hugh Jackman did a decent job, but it could've been better. All in all, worthy of renting on DVD for a lazy Sunday afternoon and nothing else...
I'm really hyped up about Star Trek, though and I will watch it come next Tuesday, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be a great film.

Television

I'm actually watching TV now! Thanks to Vanesa being at home, I can no longer avoid the dreaded 'sucker of minds', and so I found myself enjoying a few shows I used to watch and the news; a good way to be up to date with our beautiful world...

Music

I'm listening to a lot of instrumental music, ranging from Post-Rock, to classic; examples being Explosions in the Sky, and Johann Sebastian Bach.
I've also been listening to "Sounds of the Universe", Dpeche Mode's latest album. I think it's very good and reminds me of ULTRA, which is one of my favourite works from them. I've also heard they're coming to Argentina with their tour, so I'm definitely going to buy me a ticket if I can!

General

Not much has been going on that I haven't detailed above. I've been learning to coexist with my new pet, and have been enjoying what little free time I have and making sure my life's in order.
An occuring worthy of notice, though is that I've received the copy of the "Eisenhorn" Omnibus I traded with ~MaKo85 for a MiniMasterpiece and I've been literally devouring it! It's easily one of the best fictions I've read and set in a background that I love and care for a lot. Surely this read will give birth to many inspired illustrations :D...

So, brave are ye who've read this far as I always say, and let me know if you're interested in that bargain I mentioned before!

Until next time!

I wish I had the money to pay for a one year subscription for that, you should make a copy and sell it to me :D.

I like how your branching into Bach, thats good stuff right there, have you gone to Tchaikovsky yet?

Man, I'm sorry to hear about you're subscription expireing. I watched Wolverine and was pleasently entertained by it, epecially by Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson. The idea that he's getting a spin-off movie all to himself is very exiting.

If you're looking for music suggestions, I think I'll recomend Stabilo's album Happiness and Disaster. They're a Canadian band and I enjoy their sound a lot. It's relaxing and sometimes wistful as well.

I look forward to your continued works. If I ever have the cash to buy a commision peice, I'll let you know. :)

Never read Eisenhorn. Gotta keep a lookout for it in the future.

I found the Wolverine movie entertaining, but that might have been because me and ten of my friends took up an entire row of seats. They brutalized poor Deadpool, but at least he made a few wisecracks. A lot of the deal with Wolverine and Sabertooth seems to affect the continuity of the original movie. That and the random adamantium bullet = memory lost garbage.
